Music and audio obsessed Kit first became a fanatic of the UK dance music scene after tuning into the sounds of Jungle and Hip Hop during the early 1990's courtesy of UK Hip Hop producers Ill Move Sporadic. Quickly snapping up a love for DJ'ing, Kit purchased a set of decks when he was 16 and started to spin House, Garage and Drum & Bass at parties and festivals which were organised by a local youth club. It was here that he met more like-minded people. Having gained this new found love in DJ'ing, Kit secured regular slots at London venues such as Plan B, The Egg, Turnmills, Hidden, Bar Rumba plus many more during his early years as an adult. Doors began to open for him when he took a job as a promoter at the infamous club night Movement which was London’s longest running Drum and Bass weekly party. This enabled him to network with other promoters and DJ’s. Bookings in cities such as Bournemouth, Manchester and Southampton quickly followed. Production was a natural progression for Kit and the coming years saw him churn out a discography of originals and remixes which have since made their way onto BBC Radio playlists! Not one to aim his ambitions down just one avenue, Kit has used his knowledge from the past years to successfully manage Proximity Recordings with Basher. Focusing the label on the more deeper and darker realms of Drum & Bass, the pair have taken the imprint to new territories far and wide. With a healthy roster of artists, monthly parties around the UK & all over Europe, plus a dedicated release schedule, Kit established himself as label manager at Proximity and was constantly busy making it all come together! He still continues to DJ regularly and to push himself to new limits in the studio. In 2018 Kit signed his first official single to Grid Recordings. The two tracks titled 'Awakenings (Feat. Quaed)' & 'Vaporise' have recently picked up support from: Ashatack, Basher, D-Code, Frankee, InsideInfo, Marky, North Base, Stealth & Twisted Individual to name a few. As we roll into 2019, the presents of Kit is growing ever so stronger within the spectrum of Drum and Bass, which has subsequently seen him release more and more music. Most notably on Drumsound & Simon Bassline Smith’s imprint Technique Recordings. ‘In Your Heart’ and ‘Losing You’ both featured on the labels prestigious ‘Technique Summer’ compilation series and marks the next chapter in Kit’s journey. After taking a break in 2020 Kit is now back with a vengeance as he is now set to release his first 12" Vinyl EP titled ‘Desolate EP’ on Fokuz Recordings. Support for his debut extended player came in thick and fast from Mc Conrad, DJ Aphrodite, Fabio & Grooverider, 2Shy, DJ Clarky, DJ Mantra, Brookes Brothers, DJ Rap, Alibi, Madcap, Basher, Frankee, Kenny Ken, Double O, DJ Andrezz, DJ Craze, dRamatic & dbAudio, Nicky Blackmarket, Doc Scott and Noisia. His follow up single titled 'Molecules' released on Vibez 93 has already gained support from LTJ Bukem, Random Movement, John B, Kenny Ken, Aphrodite, Sweetpea and Paul SG which has kicked 2022 off in style for him. The level of support for Kit is growing bigger each day, most credibly with his track 'Survive' gaining BBC Radio 1 airplay by Jaguar for BBC Introducing. Expect to hear more from this guy very soon!
