Об исполнителе:
Bob Suren founded Burrito Records in 1991 to release a 7" by one of his early bands, Flaming Midget. The Flaming Midget "Midget Melodies: Short Songs For The Very Short" has become somewhat of a cult record. 500 copies were made in a single pressing. Suren was the bassist in Flaming Midget, but played both bass and guitar on the record because the band didn't want to work with the original guitarist anymore. Flaming Midget played just two live shows: Aug 10, 1990 and Aug 16, 1990 -- both in their hometown of Stuart, FL. After Flaming Midget, Suren started Failure Face in 1992 with Rob Sexton of Slap Of Reality and John Tucci of E.B.S. He formed pen pal friendships with Sexon and Tucci while he was studying journalism at the University Of Florida. These friendships eventually led Suren to leave his hometown of Stuart, FL and move to Brandon, FL where he would open the world-famous punk rock record store Sound Idea in 1995, which he ran until Oct 2008. Failure Face really got off the ground in the spring of 1993 when a revamped line up played their first show, made their first record, appeared on the "It's A Florida Thing" 7" compilation (Toy Box Records, 1993) and went on their first tour, all in a very short period of time. Failure Face lasted until Aug 31, 1996. In their time, Failure Face released four records and appeared posthumously on the "Amnesia" compilation album (Ebullition Records). In 2003, Suren the complete works of Failure Face as the "Complete Failure" CD on his own Burrito Records label. After the break up of Failure Face, Suren had an itch to keep playing music, so he called up his old friend John Tucci and Slap Of Reality guitarist Joe Kiser, with whom he had only a nodding relationship at the time. These three worked on songs for a few weeks in the fall of 1997 before calling in former Failure face bassist Kevin Shanahan to join their group. In 1998, MSP released two records. Over the next several years the band floated in and out of dormancy, breaking up and reforming several times. In 2008, after a 3 year hiatus, Murder-Suicide Pact reformed. Also in 2008, the withering world economy forced Suren to close his beloved record shop as well as the Burrito label. Burrito released 29 titles, including Scrotum Grinder, Combat Wounded Veteran, h100s, Control De Estado, Hated Youth, Roach Motel, F, Gay Cowboys In Bondage, Death Sentence, Reason Of Insanity and many more. Suren has also played bass in the band Gross National Product and drums in John Madden And The Electric Condoms. Both bands have vinyl releases to their credit.
