When amani stepped on stage at Musiken Hus in Gothenburg on 26/09 1998, they were one of Sweden's hardest swinging afropop bands, well known from stages and festivals all over Sweden. With their mix of soukouss, funk and jazz, they were known for always giving their all with their uncompromising joy of playing to get the audience dancing and going wild. And that evening was also a party, full of music and dancing, both on and in front of the stage. The special thing about that particular evening was that it was also recorded and became the record "amani live". After that, the band and its leader Edo Bumba continued to play and develop the music further, first as amani and then in new constellations, always with the music, the dance and the audience at the center. On 23 NOVEMBER 2018, 20 years after that sweaty evening, amani stands again on the same stage to celebrate the anniversary of the record, relive the joy of playing and, not least, to offer the audience the music created along the way, both before and after the record. In addition to Edo's current band members, several of the musicians who have been with them over the years will make guest appearances. It's simply time for another magical music party at Musikens hus, another tribute to music, dance and the joy of playing.
