Hawaiian singer (baritone, but also tenor) band leader, composer, and ukulele player (born January 14, 1888 in Honolulu, Hawaii – died March 1983 in Santa Barbara, CA, USA). Went to the mainland U.S.A. in 1908, where he performed in cabarets, resorts, and on the Orpheum Circuit. In 1913, he settled in Glendale, CA. In WW1, he served as a U.S. army musician. After the war, he studied voice in New York City. Later, he sang as a principal with the San Francisco and Los Angeles Operas and the Los Angeles and Glendale Symphonies. Recorded for Victor between 1924 and 1936. In 1930, he and his band also released one record with Columbia.
