Marco Aurelio Yano

Brazilian composer born in 1963 in São Paulo from a family of Japanese descent. He was paralyzed from birth. Despite these physical limitations he studied at the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNSESP) and graduated in musical direction and composition. It was there that he met Alex Klein for whom he later composed his oboe concerto. However, before he fully orchestrated it he died in 1991 at the age of 27 from a brain tumor.
