Alejandro Azcuy

Photographer from Cuba. Alejandro Azcuy Domínguez (Havana, August 1972) Self-taught photographer. Throughout twenty-three years of professional career he has ventured into almost every photographic genre. His work has been exhibited in fifteen personal samples and more than twenty-five groups, in countries such as Cuba, the United States, Germany, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Mexico and Portugal. He has received several awards, among which are: Cuban Art Magazine Award from the Second Landscape Salon, convened by the Acacia Gallery, 2015; Grand Prix of the Erotic Art Salon 2016; Honorable Mention Casa de las Américas Award for photographic essay, convened by said institution and the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (Clacso), 2009; and Honorable Mention of the International Exhibition of Contemporary Art Visuarte, 2009.
