Pelle Holmberg

Swedish guitarist, born 19 November 1982 in Karlskrona. He grew up in Karlskrona but now lives in Åkarp. He graduated from the Academy of Music in Malmö in 2007 and continued his studies at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. He works as a freelance musician and guitar teacher at the University of Music in Malmö, Furuboda Folk College and Söderslättsgymnasiet in Trelleborg. Pelle Holmberg is the frontman and creator of the instrumental fusion/blues/funk band Pelle Holmberg Group aka "PHG", which released its debut album in 2011. PHG released its follow-up "Ghost Ship" in February 2015 which was followed up with a tour in Sweden and Finland. Holmberg is also active in the blues band HPD 'Hopplockade delar', which in recent years has been seen at various jazz and blues festivals. They have accompanied Nils Landgren and Bill Öhrström and others. As a freelance musician, he has played with artists such as Lasse Holm, Amy Diamond, Jay Smith, Samuel Ljungblahd, Lilie and Susie, Anneli Rydé, Jan Johansen, OscarZia, Nils Landgren, Magnus Carlsson, Andreas Lundstedt, Anna Book, Erik Segerstedt , the Rongedal brothers, Linda Bengtzing, Emil Sigfridsson, Jojje Wadenius and others.
