Paul Höglund (2)

Swedish actor and opera singer (bass baritone), born 30 September 1926 on Alnö, died 25 December 2001 in Norra Åsum. Höglund was educated at the Academy of Music 1946 - 1947 and made his debut at the Royal Opera in 1948 as Bartolo in The Barber in Seville. There he was associated with 1952 and then 1960 - 1983. In between, he was employed at Malmö Stadsteater 1952 - 1955 and Stora teatern in Gothenburg 1955 - 1960. The roles include Masetto and Leporello in Don Giovanni, Sparafucile in Rigoletto and the four basic roles in Hoffmann's Adventures.
