Tim Phlegm

Houston, Texas singer and journalist. Fleck started his journalism career in 1971 at the Houston Chronicle, and also went on to work in news radio and at the Houston Press. In 1979, he wrote the song “The Badge Means You Suck”, which led to him joining punk band AK-47 as a singer. He left AK-47 in 1981 after the Houston police threatened a lawsuit against the band. He remained in journalism and did not join another band.
