Jean Kleeb was born in 1964 in Santo André in Brazil. He has been living in Germany since 1991 and works as a composer, choral director, pianist, music educator and arranger. At the age of 16, he began his studies at the University of Sao Paulo, graduating in 1984. He then completed his studies in composition until 1988. He studied choral conducting with Marco Antônio Da Silva Ramos and composition with Willy Corrêa De Oliveira. He studied piano with Gilberto Tinetti and José Eduardo Martins, among others, and also developed in an autodidactic way, especially in the field of modern and South American political music. During this time he began to lead choirs and participated in workshops for choral and orchestra conducting with renowned conductors, such as Eric Ericson from Kungliga Musikhögskolans Kammarkör. In 1991 he came to Germany, where he continued his work as a composer, pianist, arranger, choir and orchestra conductor, singer and music teacher. In Stuttgart he attended the teacher's seminar for Waldorf pedagogy and in 1992 he moved to Marburg. Until 2001 he was music teacher of the Freie Waldorfschule Marburg and since then a freelance musician.
