Swedish musician and composer born July 12, 1977 in Uppsala. He son of church pastor Per Petrén and Ninni Petrén and grandson of Erik Petrén. Petrén has studied at the music education for classical piano at the Gothenburg School of Music with Professor Hans Pålsson as head teacher. In 2004 he married the singer in the group Ace of Base Jenny Berggren and they have two children together. From 2002-2004 he worked on the Psalmer for Life project, 71 newly written psalms (one for each celebration day of the church year), where he arranged and produced the recordings of all the psalms. Petrén is the author of 21 of the psalms. Among other composers and participants were Hans Nyberg, Lars Åberg, Per Harling, Jenny Berggren, Jerker Leijon, Eva Bartholdsson and Greger Siljebo. All texts are written by the priest Lars Westberg. In the psalm book supplement Psalms in the 2000s, he is represented with psalm 809 "Everything is the Lord" and psalm 888 "Praying is to be with God", both to text by Lars Westberg. Petrén is a pianist in "Aurum trio" with Greger Siljebo (violin) and Eva Bartholdsson (vocals). In 2006 they released the album "Augustimöte", which in 2007 was awarded to Little Brother Söderlundh's scholarship, together with Raymond Björling and Pär Sörman. [3] From 2006 to 2009, he worked as the musical director for Ace of Base, playing keyboards, guitars and performing on their world tour during the same period. In 2007, he (along with Nathan DiGesare and Donna Summer) wrote the song "Slide Over Backwards", which became track # 9 on Summer's album Crayons, released in 2008. The album debuted at # 17 on the Billboard 200 and # 5 on Billboard R&B, which is Summers so far the highest debut for an album. During the autumn / spring 2009/2010, Petrén participated as a pianist in the Rigoletto opera at the Värmland Opera in Karlstad. In 2010/2011 Petrén made the role of himself in 40 years in the production "Eternal Young" by Erik Gedeon. The show had Sweden premiere on June 3 at the Värmlands Opera.
