Venus (81)

Formed in Wijdenes (Noord-Holland, The Netherlands) in 1965. During the late sixties the band name was changed into Venus Five and when Ria Brieffies joined the band in 1971, they changed the band name into Sonja’s Venus Five (because their was another local band with the name Rita and Her Gold Five, to avoid confusion). After Brieffies left in 1976 (and became one of the members of the Dolly Dots in 1979), they changed their name back to Venus. The band split up in 1997.
