Swedish musician, vocalist, song-writer, singing teacher, choir tutor and music manager, born 25 October 1962 in Eskilstuna. She is also credited for photography and sleeve design. She is known as Janis Joplin's interpreter and soloist in Happy Happies which started in 1992 and is still active. Ringkvist was a soloist and member of Puellakören until the age of 18 and performed in Sweden, the USA and England. She attended a three-year training at Charlie Rivels Entertainer Art School. In 1984, Ringkvist won the rock SM with his group Camera and self-composed material. As a member of the Swedish Chaos Orchestra (1986 - 1991), she has played and toured with, among others, Lorrygänget, Aftershave og galenskaparna, Janne Schaffer, Lasse Brandeby, Claes Malmberg and others. She was one of the zealots behind Eskilstuna's blues festival Blacksmith Bluesfestival in 2007 and 2008. Cecilia also created Eskilstuna's own Woodstock festival in 2019. In 2013, Ringkvist was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. In 2007, Ringkvist was awarded Eskilstuna's music prize In 2016 Cecilia & the Pityful Brew Band started and released their first record, My Garden 2018. All music and lyrics written by Ringkvist.
