Wally Carr

Australian vocalist (b. Adelaide 1928 - Began career by singing with local bands and on Adelaide radio stations. Joined JCW Chorus in 1945 and travelled to Melbourne & New Zealand. touring with "Maid Of The Mountains". Began recording with George Trevare and also singing on Radio 2UW in Sydney. Was a member of vocal group The Debonairs, and later The Tunetwisters. Went to England in June 1951 and sang with Ambrose Orchestra on BBC broadcasts 1952-1953. Left Ambrose in July 1953 to return to Australia.
