Lunar (23)

Lunar is a cinematic pop group formed in Aarhus, Denmark in 2014. After several years of developing their sound the group released the debut EP, Mirrors, in the fall of 2017. The art rock release and in particular the synth pop ballad, Lucy Told, received critical acclaim earning a spot as song of the week on Danish radio program "Karrierekanonen". In May 2018 they released the double single, Anyone Everywhere // Part Two, two more romantic synth based tracks. The latest release, “Welcome, Dear Mr. Pete”, from the summer of 2019 is the groups first endeavour into conceptualism. As described by frontman Christian Popp Therkildsen: “The record is in many ways a product of our fascination for 80’s sci-fi, David Lunch mystique, minimalist tape recordings and a universe where logic and dream logic are equally true.”
