Haakon Tveten

Norwegian composer and record producer, 1910-2004. Led the first ever Norwegian record label, Rex (17), before moving to Iversen & Frogh A/s in 1937 as head of the record department and thus head of the Columbia label in Norway. As a record producer he launched the record careers of big Norwegian names such as Jens Book-Jenssen and Alf Prøysen. In 1952 Tveten (along with Prøysen) moved to Philips and then later became head of the Norwegain branch of Phonogram Records upon its creation.
