M.D. Ridge

American musician, recording artist, composer, songwriter for Christian music. Born 1938 in New York City, USA. Died June 5, 2017 at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA, USA. She was the daughter of radio announcer Del Sharbutt and radio singer Meri Bell (there first names are where her first 2 names come from). For more than 45 years, M.D. wrote strong, singable and scripturally based liturgical music. She was a pastoral musician for parishes around the country. She was also a longtime journalist, editor and author, whose articles have appeared in liturgical and secular publications in the United States, Canada and England.
