Об исполнителе:
German experimental musician and painter. Born 1935 in Dresden, died 2022 in Glentorf/Königslutter in Lower Saxony, Germany. In 1966, he founded a band in West Berlin that was dedicated to improvised music with a strong chaotic, anarchistic accent. After a concert, Werner Götz caught his attention, leading to the formation of MND (Moderne Nordeuropäische Dorfmusik), a Free Jazz trio with Werner Götz and Sven-Åke Johansson that went beyond the usual boundaries of Free Jazz. After Conrad Schnitzler left the Zodiak Free Arts Lab in West Berlin, Norbert Eisbrenner took his place during the free-from improvisations that happened there under the monikers Plus/Minus and Human Being. In 1970, he founded Schlangenfeuer, involving members of MND and Human Being. Later, his artistic focus shifted towards painting. In the 2000s, he began a collaboration with his son Emanuel Eisbrenner, a techno producer and DJ in Berlin. Norbert Eisbrenner developed a unique way of using the electric guitar as a sound machine. He plays it, placed on his knees, with a plectrum and a triangle moving over the strings. He drives it over its usual limits and creates unheard and unique sounds and noises.
