Jesse Stamp

British classical trombonist, and Professor of Trombone. Born in 1885 - Died in 1932. He studied and graduated at the Manchester Royal College of Music (1904-1907). He joined the London Symphony Orchestra in 1909 and was made Principal Trombone in 1911. He was on the board of directors for the 1923-24 season and left the orchestra in 1928. He was a founder member of the BBC Symphony Orchestra in 1930. He was Professor of Trombone at the Royal Academy of Music from 1925 until his death.
