Paul Yoder

Born in Tacoma, Washington (October 8, 1908 - April 4, 1990) American musician, composer, arranger, and band director. He composed over 1,500 solo and ensemble works for young musicians. Yoder received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Dakota in 1930. He taught music in public schools in Aurora, Illinois and Evansville, Indiana until 1936. He completed a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University in 1941 and received an Honorary doctorate from the University of North Dakota in 1958. He used several pseudonyms including: Frederick Griggs, Lester Guthrie, Carl Norton, Charles Porter, Allan Rader, Al Van Burskirk, and Max Thomas.
