Writer and performer of folk songs, ballads and shanties in the English traditional style. Performing since 1974. In 1986 formed The Roaring Hundreds, who continued to gig until breaking up 15 years later. He also played drums in a few Surrey bands: Excalibur, Bobalouis, Sham 69 in the mid 70's and Reaper and Seducer in the early '80s. Continued to play solo, sometimes with backing musicians 'Shouting in the Woods' and 'The Disparate Folk.'
