Revealing undeniable origins from Iowa through her music, recently based Charleston singer-songwriter Sam Rae blends roots in improvised cello looping with the traditional landscape of folk-guitar. With compelling vocals and Joni Mitchell-inspired delivery, Sam Rae unveils lyrically rich personal narratives that manage to tap into a feeling beyond her own. Alongside her own tours she also doubles as Cellist for Grammy Award-winning artist Brandi Carlile. She has toured extensively around the US collaborating with countless artists including Gregory Alan Isakov, Elephant Revival, The Highwomen, Courtney Marie Andrews, Tanya Tucker, Rise Against and more.
