丹下キヨ子

Kiyoko Tange, Japanese singer and actress. Born 2 January 1920 in Tokyo; died 4 May 1998. Scored her biggest hits as a singer in the early part of her career, but is mostly remembered for her career as an actress for film and TV, and as a sharp-tongued TV personality. For a time she was also active as an entrepreneur in Brazil. Nearly lost her eyesight due to complications from diabetes in the late 1970s; has not been active in the music or acting world since 1983.
