Helen Rivero

Australian singer, musician and songwriter, based in Canberra, ACT. Australian born to Spanish heritage, Helen Rivero's musical career has involved music largely drawn from traditional repertoire, as well as performing as a vocalist in various styles from jazz and twentieth century music to cabaret, pop, early music and folk styles. She has toured and performed at festivals and has received awards for her songs. Her first album (Rivero) focused mostly on Spanish and Sephardic songs. Her second album (Luminous) was a collaboration with Canberra based producer and multi-instrumentalist Ian Blake, and involved an inventive re-setting of children's lullabies from around the world. Her third album (Yes, Capitan) was comprised almost entirely of her own songs.
