Arches (6)

Arches is the duo project of Norwegian guitarist Fredrik Rasten and Australian double bassist Jonathan Heilbron. Established in 2016, Arches plays music somewhere between composed and improvised, with the main focus on subtle variations of intonation and resulting acoustical phenomena. Long sustained tones create a warm and constantly evolving sound world, while the limited dynamic range gives a platform for the natural instrumental colours to reveal themselves. Arches has toured successfully in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Russia and released their debut album in 2019 via Inexhaustible Editions.
