Kanade Sato

Kanade Sato (jap.: 佐藤 奏) is a female Japanese drummer. She was born on October 29th, 2002 in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Kanade began playing drums at the age of three. She started studying drums under session drummer Yoshihiko Iwai at age five. In 2014, when she was 11, she won the global female drummers' competition Hit Like A Girl Contest (under 18 group). Her first official recording was in 2017 at age 14 with her band Ear Candy Jazz Factory for their debut CD "Tangerine Peel Jam". Kanade's main musical interest is in jazz-fusion, but she also performed and/or recorded with metal guitarist Rie a.k.a. Suzaku and singer-songwriter duo Airamoeka, among others.
