Pål Wikén

Swedish multiinstrumentalist from Hässleholm (27 November 1949–29 October 2018), mainly guitar and accordion, also journalist, editor and news director. On why he started using a five-string electric guitar: "After hearing Fred And Annie Mae McDowell in the 70's, I started using slide and tuning the guitar in a chord. Thus there were two bass strings with the same note. Unnecessary, I thought, so I removed one string."
