Frank Lebby Stanton

American journalist, poet and lyricist. Born February 22, 1857 Charleston, South Carolina, USA. Died January 7, 1927 (aged 69) Atlanta, Georgia, USA. ASCAP IPI #: 00029455471. Easy to mix up with songwriter Frank Stanton. He was a columnist for the Atlanta Constitution and in 1925 became the first poet laureate of the State of Georgia, a post to which Stanton held until his death.
