Diana Clark (4)

Australian vocalist, percussionist, composer and choir director, based in Melbourne, Victoria. Diana Clark was a founding member of Akasa in 1998. After travelling to Brazil in 2000, studying music and language, Diana and her partner, guitarist Doug de Vries, returned to Australia to specialise in Brazilian music. With a repertoire including classic bossa nova sung in the original Portuguese, Diana has shared her knowledge via workshops and concerts throughout Australia. Also highly regarded for her contribution to community choirs in Australia, Diana is best known for having founded and directed Borboleta, (butterfly) Australia’s first performing Brazilian Choir. In addition, Diana directed the Boite’s Melbourne Millennium Chorus in 2001, 2002 and 2003. In 2004, she initiated the recording of Borboleta’s first album.
