Zonophone is a musician who works with sound samples from records and self-recorded instruments to produce "new meaning" to the original sounds. The Zonophone project aims at approaching music as an art project, where texture, ambiance and repetition is at the heart of his production method. Although sample-based, the music retains an organic quality to sculpt the different soundscapes. Zonophone has been active since 2003, and through his different albums, touches themes of politics, culture, society and the rhythms of modern life.
