German master baker, lived in the same house as the family of Ludwig van Beethoven for years. He began in 1838 with the help of his significantly older sister Cäcilia to record family memories of 18th century Bonn and Beethoven's time.His memories of the young composer were for a long time dismissed by researchers as untrustworthy - until a book by Margot Wetzstein appeared in 2006 that could prove that the records were true.
