Rafael Macedo

Brazilian songwriter, arranger and musician. Macedo graduated in Artistic Education with a major in Music (UEMG) and perfected his skills at the Fundação de Educação Artística, where he has been working as a teacher since 2009. The composer has twice won the BDMG Instrumental Award (2006 and 2013) and in 2010, along with the group qUEbRApEdRA, was awarded the Funarte Popular Music Circuit Award. He has worked with artists such as Hermeto Pascoal, Uakti, Gabriel Grossi, Misturada Orquestra, Kristoff Silva, Juliana Perdigão, Antonio Loureiro among others; and as an arranger has collaborated on albums of prominent artists in the music currently made in Minas Gerais: Ana (2014), Leonora Weissmann (2013/co-musical direction and arrangements), Graveola e o Lixo Polifônico (2012), Leopoldina Azevedo (2009) and Elefante Groove (2004).
