Rinke Schroor and Wietske Laverman from Fryslân The Netherlands made music together for many years. The duo sang Frisian arrangements of well-known and lesser-known songs. Wietske wrote the lyrics and Rinke the music. In 1994 they performed in the Soundmixshow with an imitation of Gert and Hermien. Rinke also composed several songs for this duo. For their first album they worked with writer Auck Peanstra, who managed to convert Rinke and Wietske's ideas into lyrics. Wietske himself translated lyrics of Beatle songs into Frisian. On September 20, 2003, the duo took third place in the category 'the new life song' at the Festival van het Levenslied in Leiden. The duo stopped in 2008. Wietske continued as Country Wytske.
