Tom Smith (64)

British folk guitarist/singer. He formed part of the Scottish group "The Caern" or "The Caern Folk Trio" with Bill Hill & Jean Brooks. They recorded their first album for the Decca label Emerald Gem - a group of Scottish songs and went on to record a second album of Irish folk songs. Tragically, as the recordings were coming to an end of of this second album, Tom was killed with his wife in a car accident and the album was released and dedicated to his memory. There were no further Caern Folk records.
