A Finnish pop group, founded in December 1964-January 1965 by Leif Kiviharju, Markku Vihavainen, Teuvo Grönroos and Seppo Järvinen in Helsinki, Finland. The band split up in 1967, but the manager Raimo Pirskanen gathered a second line-up, upsetting the original members. In 1986 Kiviharju, Järvinen, Arto Lönnfors and Mårten Enqvist got together, founded the band again and released the album "Blue Monday". In 1995 Lönnfors retired, and he was replaced by Cay Karlsson. The First is still performing, basically only in "Back to the Sixties" concerts.
