J.R. August

A singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Jakuševec near Zabok, Croatia, born 30.1.1989., Vranić started his career playing at a young age as a keyboard player, forming his first band Nautilus at an early age, before joining Voodoo Lizards. After they disbanded, he went on to play with J' Animals, but also started his solo career. Taking the name J.R. August (JohnJohn Raven August), he would go on to release new songs from 2012 to 2014, when his debut EP "Change of Seasons" came out. After two further EPs ("Tea Party with Mr. Death" in 2016 and "Tales from the Forest EP" in 2018), J.R. went on to release his first full album. "Dangerous Waters", recorded with a backing choir and band, released in October 2019, was met with critical acclaim, topping charts in Croatia, winning three Rock&OFF awards, and garnering five Porin nominations.
