Tenor Jimmy Brunsen was a member of numerous vocal groups during the 50's including The Regals, The Rockets, The Rocketeers, The Magic Notes and The Planets. (Typical of that era, some of these groups contained the same members but their names were changed when moving to another label and sometimes while recording for the same label.) As The Rockets, they hooked up with Johnny Otis and became part of his touring "Johnny Otis Show". When Otis did his Capitol sessions, he used The Rockets extensively for backup work and they are featured in the background on his 1958 hit "Willie And The Hand Jive". Jimmy Brunsen appeared with the Billy Williams Revue (1959-1963), recorded some solos under the name "Jimmy Bee", and then went into record promotion for Arista Records.
