Ulla Wagener

Ulla Wagener (* October 7, 1968 in Frankfurt am Main) is a German actress and voice actress. Ulla Wagener grew up in and near Frankfurt am Main, where she also completed a state-approved dance training. She found her way to acting via this field, which took her to London and Vienna. She studied acting at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna from 1989 to 1992, graduating with a state diploma. Also in Vienna, she began her vocal training with A. Mellis at the Theater an der Wien, which she completed in 1995 at the Georg Friedrich Händel Conservatory in Halle/ Saale. In Halle she was a permanent ensemble member of the "Neues Theater" under the artistic direction of Peter Sodann until 1996. Since then she has appeared on many stages in German-speaking countries as well as in various television productions, including Mein alter Freund Fritz, Polizeiruf 110, Die Strauß-Dynastie, Siska, Happy Birthday, Unser Charly, Der Alte, Traumfrau mit Nebenwirkungen, SOKO 5113. As a dubbing artist, she has been active since the 1990s, so her voice from the Japanese anime series Sailor Moon (1997-1998) is known as "Sailor Pluto". Ulla Wagener lives in Munich with her husband Bernhard Reininger and their joint children Nils Wagener and Liv Wagener, who are both also active as actors, dubbing actors and musicians.
