Barry Hansen

American radio broadcaster and record collector specializing in novelty songs. Hansen has a degree in ethnomusicology and has written magazine articles and liner notes on recording artists outside of the novelty genre. After graduating, he served briefly as a roadie for Spirit (8) and for Canned Heat, before being hired as an A&R man for Specialty. He later worked for Warner Bros. Records.
