Born in 28th of January, 1959, Hiroshi Kubota, also known as H.Kubota, was born in Obihiro, Hokkaido. Under the influence of his father, a musician, he started playing the piano at the age of four. He was fascinated by the organ with Rock and JAZZ, which he was enthusiastic about in middle and high school, and started Electone at the age of 17. In 1979, he started composing and playing, winning in the 4th place in 16th Yamaha Electone Festival (YEF) in across Japan, by playing and arranging the song, "Chameleon" by H. Hancock at the age of 20. In 1983, he started to get featuring in an album "Birth Of New - Electone FX-1", along with Reiko Kashiwagi, Yuko Kawada, and Akira Hayashi In 1984, he made his record debut with "THE ELECTRIC FUTURE" (2-disc LP). Since then, a total of 11 ALBUM albums have been released from Pony Canyon in Japan. The thrilling number with a sense of beat and Kubota's original sound are highly evaluated as composers and arrangers, and the work has become the theme of many TV programs such as "Motorland 2" and "Wide! Scramble". In September 2000, he made his US debut with "I'll Always Be" from New York's JAZZ label Truspace. In October of the same year, he performed live at New York / Knitting Factory, etc., and his soulful and funky sound was well received. In April 2004, he released his 13th album "KOOL JAMMIMG". In addition to the Electone solo live, in 2003 he formed Japan's leading jazz fusion unit "KKJAM" (Key / El Hiroshi Kubota, SAX Kazuki Katsuta, Ds Masaharu Ishikawa), and at the same time, "TRIX" from 2004 to 2012. Participated in (Drummer Dr. Noriaki Kumagai, Bass player Mitsuru Sutoh, Electric Guitarist Yuya Koguchi, Keyboardist Hiroshi Kubota) and toured nationwide with Hiroyuki Noritake (Dr) in 2013. Actively developing jazz festival appearances and CD releases. He loves JAZZ FUNK and is a top player who is always at the forefront of the music scene on his thrilling stage. Live at Knitting Factory, etc., and the soulful and funky sound is well received. Kubota's unique sound, a thrilling number full of beats, has been highly evaluated as a composer and arranger, and has been used in many TV programs.
