Stone Priest are a psyched out stoner rock band coming roaring out of Buffalo, New York. The band formed in early 2016 out of the ashes of their former group, cult favorites, Cosmic Shakedown. With Stone Priest the bands high powered sound fuses the influence of everyone from Deep Purple to the MC5 by way of Black Mountain and ELO. It makes for a unique listening experience and a continual reminder that this band remain one of a kind – the sort of group who help come to define what their scene is about. Fiercely dedicated to their scene – bassist Larry Gartley also runs Helmet Lady Records. This has been a boon for the band as the labels deep impact on the community has only elevated Stone Priests’ profile. With ambitions to tour across the country, the group has started to make a name for themselves locally as one of the strongest live acts in the Buffalo area. Their keyboard histrionics and gothic undertones set them in a league of their own.
