The IL CONCENTO Ensemble (formerly Il Concento Ecclesiastico) was born in 1995 from the meeting of musicians and singers (already active in the field of ancient music) coordinated and directed by Luca Franco Ferrari, with the aim of rediscovering, studying, transcribing and performing unpublished or little-known compositions in the pre-romantic area using philological interpretative criteria.
