The Saddle Mates

Founded by Jimmy Miller (brother of Dusty Miller of Dusty Miller & His Colorado Wranglers), Jimmy Miller and the Saddle Mates was a country music band based in Rutland, Vermont. Touring about the Northeast through the late 1930s and the 1940s, The Saddle Mates included Speedy, Slim, Winnie Mae, and Smokey and Lois Carey. The band began performing radio shows for WDEV Waterbury, VT in the late 1940s and the early 1950s. Trivia: • Jimmy's mother was Zoe Mahue Rossi and his father was John Rossi.
