Venezuelan latin sonera singer Janett Guevara García, artistically known as Mariana "La Sonera de Venezuela", was born in Caracas on January 19, daughter of Reyna García and Vicente Guevara. She is the oldest of six brothers and from a very young age she showed her taste for music; activity that has been his eternal passion, and has led to six record productions. Educated in schools of nuns, she always participated and excelled in cultural events, until on one occasion she was suspended for telling the mother superior, that there was a theme called “The Jail” of the Sextet Youth that she wanted to sing in a cultural act. At age 14, during his academic training in high school he learned to play drums and participated in the church choir in the Caricuao Parish where he lived. Over the years Mariana is invited by Mr. Naty Martínez to a rehearsal, who upon hearing her is impressed and decides to make a musical production. It is there when the true pilgrimage of Mariana begins, going through stages earning the admiration of salsa greats, in past years she received praise from Queen Celia Cruz and has the guarantee and support of singers like the Stars of FANIA, José Alberto “ El Canario ”, the Great Combo of Puerto Rico, and even with his friend and fellow Oscar D 'León. Mariana has been awarded the prizes such as the “CONGO DE ORO” at the Barranquilla Salsa Festival. It has been praised by personalities of the importance of Don Tite Curet Alonso, among others.
