UK Rattay

Ulrich Rattay aka guitarist UK Rattay was a founding member of the German group 'Kimono Code' in the 80s. During the 80s he earned some production credits on albums of The Nijinsky Style, The Fair Sex, Kabbhari and Bellicoons. 1990 he started working for CMP Records as a product-manager. With this label his new band 'Victory Of The Better Man' found a home as well. After the sale of CMP Records in 1997 'Rattay Music' was founded in Aachen, Germany. In the beginning they worked as a marketing and publicity agency only. Later they introduced their own publishing branch and founded the label 'Rent A Dog' in late 2002. In the summer of 1997 UK Rattay joined the legendary US-band 'The Styrenes' and recorded several albums with them for Scat Records, Enja Records and ROIR. Rattay’s soundtrack credits include contributions to the documentary 'Hillbrow Kids' and films by the renown German director Dominik Graf like 'Freunde der Freunde', 'Hotte im Paradies' and 'Der scharlachrote Engel' to name a few.
