Об исполнителе:
Belgian Vocalist/Guitarist who, starting with Neuthrone in 1992, pioneered doom metal in Belgium. After the demise of Neuthrone, Steve was a member of the experimental doom outfit Cower from 1996 until 1997. Thee Plague of Gentlemen rose from the ashes of Cower in 1999, and developed a formidable live reputation despite numerous lineup changes over the years and sparse output consisting of two demo CDRs entitled Motown Misfortune and Banishment of Serpents, a split 7" with American Heritage, a 7" on Southern Lord, and several compilation appearances. The 2005 release of their first full-length album, Primula Pestis, became their crowning achievement which garnered enthusiastic reviews and was followed by hugely successful European tours. The band was recording their second full-length, Serpentcult, when Steve's reputation and esteem were forever ruined after an arrest in July 2006. The Belgian media initially reported that Wackenier was arrested for child rape.
