Andrea Csollány

Born on June 26, 1964 in Sindelfingen. 1973-1984 lessons at the Städtische Musikschule Mannheim. 1984-1989 studied at the Mannheim Music Academy. Main subjects: piano, music theory and sound education. 1989-1994 postgraduate study "Artistic Education" in piano (with Rudolf Meister) and composition (with Wolfgang Rihm and Dimitri Terzakis). 1980 composition prize of the city Altleiningen. 1986 scholarship of the city of Mannheim for the "Darmstadt Summer Course for New Music". 1988 scholarship for the summer course "Treffen Junger Komponisten" in Weikersheim. Since 1986 teacher at the Städtische Musikschule Mannheim (piano, chamber music and preparatory lessons in music theory / ear training). Since 1990 concert reviewer for the "Mannheimer Morgen". Since 1993 teaching assignment for ear training at the Mannheim Music Academy. 1997 Award of the City of Mannheim for Contemporary Composition. 2001: 1st prize of the Composition Competition of the Orchestra Association of the City of Kempten / Allgäu
