Mexican group. Trío Cantarrecio was formed in the second half of the 1940s. Moisés Estévez was the director and founder of the group; accompanied by his brother Alfonzo Estévez, Fernando Murguía and Ricardo Otañez, who performed beautiful songs by renowned composers. The members of the Cantarrecio accompanied Pedro Infante in films such as “Nosotros los pobres”, “Ustedes los ricos”, “Los tres huastecos”; Likewise, Cantarrecio participated in films such as “Las dos huerfanitas”, “El Papelero”, “Quinto patio”, in which they accompany Emilio Tuero and Ferrusquilla to serenade the actress Chula Prieto. They accompanied other film figures such as David Silva, Joaquín Cordero, Antonio Aguilar, Silvia Derbez and others. The Trio Cantarrecio was one of the first to record the most successful composer in Costa Rica, Ricardo Mora, to whom they recorded his bolero “Por qué me engañas corazón”, in 1948. José Ángel Espinoza Ferrusquilla, who gave this group the name Cantarrecio.
