Francis Nolan

British classical piccolo (primarily) & flute player, and Professor of Piccolo. Born in 1949. He studied at the Royal Northern College Of Music. He was Principal Piccolo with the Hallé Orchestra (1968-1970) before moving to the BBC Symphony Orchestra (1970-73). He took up the position of Principal Piccolo with the London Symphony Orchestra in 1975, a position he held until 1999. Professor of Piccolo at The Guildhall School Of Music & Drama.
