Lars Billengren

Swedish opera singer (tenor), born 16 November 1931 in Tidaholm parish in the then Skaraborg county, died 23 March 2020 in Stockholm. He attended the Academy of Music's soloist and opera classes 1952–1958, became a soloist at the Royal Theater in 1958, the Grand Theater in Gothenburg in 1960 and came to the Riksteatern-Swedish Theater in 1965. He made his debut as Don José in Carmen Aarhus in 1957, had the title roles Andrea Chenier and Tannhäuser, Mats in Kronbruden, Alfredo in La Traviata, Len-skij in Eugen Onegin, Count Almaviva in Barberaren i Sevilla, Ferrando in Cosi fan Tutte, Belmonte in Enleveringen ur Seraljen, Paris in Sköna Helena and Simon in Tiggarstudenten. He was a member of the Theater Order TSO.
